Proper paint removal in an integeral part of the process in acheiving quality, long lasting airfield markings. Hi-Lite removes the existing layers affected by improper application, loads and/or infrequent use is performed by Hi-Lite's Hydroblasting and/or Shotblasting services.

Hi-Lite Airfield Services has a full compliment of surface preparation equipment.  Curing compound removal and removal of conflicting, obsolete markings or heavy paint build-up can be accomplished by way of our state-of-the-art hydroblast units.  Clean up is achieved with a vacuum sweeper that collects the debris.  Our hydroblasting equipment is truck mounted and capable of 2,000 to 40,000 psi.  The key to Hi-Lite’s productivity is the ability to blast 8 inches to 6 feet wide at a time
with modern, up to date equipment.

The shotblasting equipment is completely self-contained and dust free. They are equipped with HEPA filters making them ideal for indoor use such as inside hangars. Additional time is not spent cleaning up the debris.  This equipment allows for any type of line removal or surface preparation.  Hi-Lite is always aware of the environmental issues associated with line removal; we are able to deal with hazardous disposal effectively.
